Another shipment heads for South Africa

In June 2015 a shipment left the warehouse for South Africa. It contained books for schools in Cape Town, George and Johannesburg.

Tennis equipment donated by School Aid provides great sporting opportunities

Tennis equipment, donated by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, has once again been put to good use by the Irene Country Club, who run a Tennis Development programme for the Irene Middle School, a local school, situated in the Gauteng province of South Africa which is located between Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Another container leaves the warehouse bound for South Africa

Bob Crisp and David Tarn, School Aid volunteers, worked extremely hard, on what was a very hot day in August,  loading a shipping container bound for South Africa.  This container is expected to arrive in mid September.

They loaded 19 pallets, containing 730 boxes of books, onto the container, which will eventually go to schools in and around Cape Town.  Two of the pallets of books are to be forwarded to schools in Johannesburg.

Visit from the South African High Commissioner

Visit to schools in Cape Town

During a recent holiday in the Western Cape, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit two schools on the outskirts of Cape Town and see for myself what a difference our books make.
