12 schools in Morogoro, Tanzania have been sent a large consignment of books and other resources, benefiting the education of about 9600 pupils.

Helping schools affected by recent earthquake in Tanzania

We have received thanks for helping the schools in areas hit hard by the September earthquake in Tanzania.

Some of the schools are in the Missenyi District in northern Tanzania where the epicentre of the 5.7 magnitude earthquake was. Professor Wen Kilama, who is co-ordinating the shipment of books, said that once they receive the books they will ensure they reach the intended beneficiaries to help with the revival of education in these areas.
