On a beautiful sunny day on Sunday 2nd July, School Aid held their 4th annual School Run/Walk.
The event took place at the Bulstrode Park, Gerrards Cross.There was a 5km run and a 2km shorter run, for families, children and dogs! There was also an Inter-Schools 1km competition prior to the main event organised by Simon Kearns, PE Teacher at Gayhurst School, Gerrards Cross.
There were 139 entrants in the main event and 36 school entrants, which was a fantastic turn out.
Prizes given for the main event were:
- First competitor 5K
- First competitor 2K
- First Family 5K
- First Family 2K
- Best fancy dress
School prizes were organised by Gayhurst School.
Volunteers also ran a cake stall on the day, which raised further funds for School Aid, and Tom Broom, UK and Africa Operations Manger walked the course and raised approximately £370 in sponsorship - well done Tom!
