School Aid volunteers prepare for their visit to Lesotho

In September, six School Aid volunteers will fly to Lesotho, at their own expense, and visit six primary schools in Maseru, where they will take part in assemblies, sit in on lessons supporting both children and teachers, interact at play time with the balls and equipment (which they will take with them) and assist the Project Reading Manager, Moso Ranoosi and his Reading Club Assistant, Refiloe Khau.

The group will arrive on September 18th and will base themselves in Maseru. Myriam Silverman, Barbara Hendry, Rosemary Anderson, Claire Boncompain, Soo Ray and Christine Hillis have, between them, given 37 years of their free time to School Aid, packing boxes for shipment, as well as organising and helping at many fund raising activities.

The group are very excited about their trip and are going with an open mind, looking to help in any way possible.
