Partnering with schools around a sugar plantation

For our first 2016 shipment to Tanzania, we have partnered with the Kilombero Community Charitable Trust (KCCT), who operate in the sugar-growing area of Kidatu, some 350km south-west of Dar es Salaam.

KCCT has nominated a total of 20 schools - 14 primary schools, and six secondaries - to receive resources from School Aid, along with a new 'multi-function room' which will act as a focal information point for the teachers and more than 12,500 students across the age range. With class sizes of up to 120 pupils in one primary school, and only three schools having their own library, we anticipate that the resources sent by School Aid will represent a big step forward in terms of opportunities for learning. We look forward to sharing feedback as it comes in.
