Letter of gratitude from a school in Johannesburg

Michael Makwela, our South Africa Project Manager, has received a lovely letter of gratitude from the Principal of Dowling Avenue Primary School in Johannesburg.

School Principal, Mr M.A. Sandows, commented on how School Aid had embraced the school and the local community and the contribution of books will serve as a legacy to our organisation for many years to come.

School Aid books make a difference to schools in Tanzania

Josh Palfreman, our representative in Tanzania, works with our partners and recipient schools, ensuring smooth shipment and delivery.

Books sent to Tanzania last year have made a huge difference to the recipient schools and we have received the following testimonials from the Heads of Iseni A Primary School and Animo Primary School.

Helping schools affected by recent earthquake in Tanzania

We have received thanks for helping the schools in areas hit hard by the September earthquake in Tanzania.

Some of the schools are in the Missenyi District in northern Tanzania where the epicentre of the 5.7 magnitude earthquake was. Professor Wen Kilama, who is co-ordinating the shipment of books, said that once they receive the books they will ensure they reach the intended beneficiaries to help with the revival of education in these areas.
