Dedicated School Aid volunteer helps make a difference in other parts of the world

Adele Wilter, a dedicated School Aid volunteer, has arranged for some donated Spanish Books, which are not suitable for schools in Africa, to be sent to a school and kindergarten in Peru.

Adele has been in contact with a charity, Building a Future for Peruvian Children, with regard to some donated Spanish Books. These lovely books were not suitable for schools in Africa so she wanted to ensure that children from a Spanish speaking country would benefit from them.

Carole Watton, Treasurer, Building a Future for Peruvian Children, has written to say that some of these books have been taken to the school of Marcopampa and the kindergarten of Llangoden Bajo. The teachers were very impressed with the quality of the books and asked Carole to send on their appreciation and thanks to School Aid. The remaining books are intended for another Primary School, El Socorro, but because of heavy rains earlier in the year the track to the school cannot, as yet, take wheeled traffic so these will be delivered when they can.
