Items we collect

We welcome the following items, but please note the items that we cannot use.

TEXT BOOKS & READING BOOKS from pre-school to university level, post 1980:

• Textbooks, particularly Maths, Science and English
• Dictionaries, encyclopedia, reference
• General reading (FOR CHILDREN ONLY)
• Music, Atlases

PLEASE NOTE that from November 2007 School-Aid is unable to accept any donations of secondary text books or furniture until further notice due to very generous donations over the past months.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND:

• FOREIGN LANGUAGE, BRITISH HISTORY, ECONOMICS, SOCIOLOGY, ADULT NOVELS.
• UK GEOGRAPHY, GARDENING, COOKERY BOOKS

STATIONARY

• Exercise books
• Graph paper, A4 paper

WRITING IMPLEMENTS:

• Pencils, chalk – white + coloured
• Crayons, biros, colouring pencils
• Pencil sharpeners, erasers, desktop sharpeners

MATHS EQUIPMENT:

• Rulers, compasses, protractors
• Calculators (SOLAR NOT BATTERY)

SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION:

• A4 pads, files, envelopes
• Paper hole punches
• Paper clips, staplers, staples
• Duplicating machines (with carbon paper and fluid)

ARTS:

• Colouring books
• Paints, paintbrushes, scissors
• Glue, sticky tape, stamp pads & ink
• Post-it notes, magnifying glasses
• Posters

CRAFTS:

• Needles, thread, material, fabric
• Hooks & eyes, zips, knitting needles
• Crochet hooks, poppers
• Knitting wool & embroidery wool

PRE-SCHOOL:

• Counters, blocks, beads, puzzles
• Educational toys/games

SPORTS EQUIPMENT:

• Balls, skipping ropes, hoops
• Football nets, pumps & puncture kits
• Netball rings, volleyball nets
• Cricket bats, stumps & pads
• Tennis + badminton racquets, nets and balls

SPORTS CLOTHING for children and young adults

• Sports kits, t-shirts and shorts
• Tracksuits, sports footwear
