The Rt Hon The Lord Brown of Eaton-under-Heywood
is a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary.
The Rt Hon Lord Justice Scott Baker is a member
of the Court of Appeal.
Chairman and
Trustee:
Lady Baker, founder and chairman of School-Aid,
was brought up abroad. She was a primary school teacher and is
the wife of Lord Justice Scott Baker.
Secretary to trustees:
Philip Rimell, retired. Formerly an investment
banker who spent his entire career in the City of London.
Trustees:
Councillor Roy Abraham, former Chesham Town Mayor,
is currently a Chesham & Chiltern District Councillor and
a school governor. He has strong links with East Africa.
Nick Butterworth, Treasurer, helped Joy Baker
set up School-Aid and is a retired Chartered Accountant having
spent most of his career as a partner in Coopers & Lybrand.
Jane Jessup is an education consultant and managed
qualifications and curriculum development at the Qualifications
and Curriculum Authority and the National Council for Vocational
Qualifications.
Chris Knight, a St. Bartholomew’s Hospital
nurse who worked in the independent schools sector for twenty-five
years as a Matron and Headmaster’s wife. She has travelled
extensively in Africa.
Rob Meredith facilitated the transport to South
Africa for School-Aid when working for Capespan. His voluntary
work in South Africa dates from his time at university there.
Sally Plummer is a director of a London business
consultancy, which she founded in 1987. She is also a Trustee
of the Wilderness Africa Trust in Zimbabwe and sponsors educational
interests there.
Tim Johnson, Chairman of the Beit Trust, Harare,
Zimbabwe
Cuthbert James
was seconded to School-Aid for six months by John Lewis Golden
Jubille Trust in 2005.
